Course Summary
Our Advanced Diploma Course concentrates on the practical, theoretical and managerial aspects of food preparation. Students complete a seven month training period with TCA, five months paid traineeship at a reputable institution and another three months of workshops, practicals, project work and final exams.

The Culinary Academy hosts themed workshop for members of the public on a regular basis!
These exciting 3-4 hour workshops are presented, and hosted by TCA chefs, local producers, wine makers and celebrity chefs. They are fun-filled events that will make you fall in love with food all over again and promise not to disappoint.
TCA boasts not only a state-of-the-art modern facility but also South Africa's biggest training kitchen. We are situated on the Backsberg Wine Estate and our facility is used on a regular basis for product launches, team building efforts and cooking demo's by local foodies.
